As an outstanding student throughout her five years at William Howard School, Evie Mellor in Year 11 thoroughly deserved this week’s Headteacher’s Award.
Evie is a conscientious student, setting the highest standards for herself in all subjects and consistently achieving exceptional reports. She displays our core values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience, and has approached her recent GCSE exams with motivation and drive.
Evie has made a fantastic contribution to the school community through Sports Leaders, Open Spaces and the school orchestra. She has only been learning the Tenor Horn for 3 Years, but is already playing to a very good standard (Grade 6). Evie has participated in many school and community events and is an exceptional role model to younger instrumentalists and often helps them when they find the music difficult. She is also a very valued member of the Choir and the Year 11 Rock Band.
Evie has taken part in the last 2 music trips to Spain and has been a great ambassador for our school. Not only is Evie talented, but she is a very pleasant, helpful and enthusiastic young lady.
