A Year 10 student who has shown exceptional dedication as a member of Team Inspire received this week’s Headteacher’s Award. Amy attends every inclusive sports club offered each week—including Football, Boccia, Table Cricket, and New Age Kurling—along with all additional team practices. Her talent and commitment in Table Cricket led her to represent the school at the National Finals at Lord’s, where she performed brilliantly.
Amy is a superb role model for younger students in and outside school, always demonstrating positivity, teamwork, and perseverance. She is also a committed member of the school choir, giving her best at every rehearsal.
In the classroom, Amy continues to excel. She is performing strongly in both BTEC Sport and Child Development.
Outside of school, Amy gives her time as a dedicated parkrun volunteer. Most recently, she served as the back marker—a responsible role ensuring all runners finish safely. She handled the position with maturity, even needing to radio for medical assistance when a runner slipped on a root in the woods.
Amy consistently demonstrates responsibility, respect and resilience in all she does. She is a credit to Team Inspire and an asset to our school community, and a well deserving recipient of the Headteacher’s Award.
