Mrs Cooper nominated Year 10 student Ewan Isherwood for this week’s Headteacher’s Award, following his excellent contribution to our recent Remembrance Service where he displayed all our core values by taking on the task of playing The Last Post and the Reveille.
Although Ewan has only been playing the bugle/cornet for a year, he has been a valuable member of the school orchestra for some time, as well as being a fantastic drummer and guitarist, playing an integral part in the Year 10 Rock Band. He has represented the school in various events during the past year, including performing in Spain and at The Source in Carlisle.
Ewan has made an excellent start in Year 10 – showing a growing maturity towards his studies. Outside school, he is a committed member of the Cumbria Corps Drums/Cadets.
Ewan is a great example of how our students strive to be the best you can be!
