An unfailingly polite and helpful Year 10 student received the Headteacher’s Award this week. William sums up what it is to be a WHS student; hard working, showing great respect and kindness to all, and grabbing every opportunity presented. Teachers have said the following about him:
- William is one of those students who can sometimes fly under the radar because he is doing everything he should but in a quiet and conscientious way.
- William is always polite, always hands homework in on time, contributes to class discussions. He is a model pupil.
- William is such a driven young man engaging with all work and ensures every homework is done to the best of his ability.
As well as being a stalwart of Open Spaces, William is a budding writer and has completed his first mini novel, ’The Edge of Desire’ – a thriller based in the world of modelling and fashion.
Ms Ledger nominated William for the award and commented: “In English, William is polite and hardworking, he is always the first to offer to help. His confidence has grown over the year, asking for help and being responsible for his learning. Even when he finds something difficult, he gives it a go. He’s definitely a student who personifies the three Rs.”
An amazing student! Well done William!
