Bea (a Year 9 student) received the Headteacher’s Award this week. She is an outstanding student who consistently strives for excellence in everything she does academically, socially, and through her wide range of extracurricular activities. She is proactive in seeking support, extension work, and additional challenge, demonstrating real commitment to her learning and continuous improvement. Her ambition to become a Marine Biologist reflects her curiosity, determination, and strong sense of purpose.
Beyond the classroom, Bea throws herself wholeheartedly into her interests. She is a dedicated member of the school choir and drama groups, where she is also preparing for Trinity & LAMDA exams. Outside school, she engages in sailing and karate with impressive success. Despite beginning sailing only a few summers ago, she has already achieved Level 4—showing skill, discipline, and the ability to master both the technical and physical demands of the sport, including understanding equipment checks, safety, rules, and competition readiness.
In karate, she has progressed quickly and earned her green belt, once again proving her focus, determination, and resilience. When Bea sets herself a goal, she commits fully and works with maturity and motivation to be the very best she can be.
Bea’s dedication, positive attitude, and readiness to embrace every opportunity make her an exceptional role model and a truly deserving nominee for the Headteacher’s Award.
