French teacher Miss Leighton was highly impressed with some recent Get Ahead Task submissions.
Year 7 student Indi built an outstanding model of the Eiffel Tower and included some facts about its history. It was clear that a great deal of time and thought had gone into her impressive structure.
Meanwhile, Mia in Year 8 produced a fantastic comparative study of an English tradition—Shrove Tuesday (Pancake Day)—and the French celebration La Chandeleur, or Candlemas, which also involves making and eating crêpes. Mia even made a delicious batch of pancakes/crêpes as part of her research!
