Our Armed Forces students and Cadets would like to thank everyone who bought refreshments and raffle tickets during the Year 6 Open Evening. The funds they raised will be used to support improvements to our memorial garden at the front of the school.
Story Construction helped develop the memorial garden with Mrs McGaffin (our Forces Liaison Officer) and the students, and it is now a lovely reflective place to sit, with access via new steps. This area is where we place the wreaths after our Remembrance service, and we’re looking forward to enhancing it with planting in time for the commemorations.
Raffle tickets (£1) are still available, and students can buy them from the Learning Support Department during break times. There’s a fantastic prize on offer – a voucher for a family boat hire and minigolf, generously donated by Talkin Adventures.
