Our Dance students in Years 8, 9, 10, 11 and 13 travelled to The Lowry in Salford on Friday 30th January to watch former WHS student Blair Moore perform in Motionhouse’s latest electrifying production ‘Hidden’.
Motionhouse is a contemporary dance-circus company whose highly physical style integrates elements of circus and acrobatics with breath-taking dance. Their powerful production ‘Hidden’ explores humanity and how, in an increasingly divided world, light can come out of darkness in times of crisis.
Before the performance, the students were lucky enough to take part in an inspiring dance workshop with Motionhouse.
WHS Dance teacher, Miss Serrechia said: “Our students were an absolute credit to William Howard School, demonstrating our 3 R’s throughout the workshops which involved learning repertoire from the show and contact work. The Motionhouse practitioners were fantastic with our students and really pushed them out of their comfort zones.”
She added: “The performance of ‘Hidden’ was outstanding and it was such a joy to see Blair in action, showing our students what hard work and dedication can lead to!”
