The Year 9 Character Curriculum Art class have been learning a new craft – needle felting.
After sketching the outlines of their pets or favourite animals onto hessian backing, the students use specialist felting needles to carefully poke and blend wool fibres into place.
Through patience and creativity, their simple drawings are gradually transformed into textured, characterful portraits. Here are some of their charming works-in-progress.
