As part of Year 10 Careers and Financial Education lessons, students have been learning how to budget for when they are older by completing a virtual supermarket food shop and pricing it up to see how much it would be.
Students, Summer and Eve, went on a trip to the Spar in Brampton with Mrs Robinson to buy the items they had selected, including bread, milk and cheese. The girls also bought a small bar of chocolate each – Eve used £1 from her purse and looked at her receipt to check change of 60p. Summer used a £5 note and also looked at her receipt and counted the change of £4.60.
