The BAE Systems Education Programme Roadshow captivated our Year 7 and 8 students today. The theme of the fascinating 50 minute performance was ‘From the depths of the oceans to outer space’, exploring the challenges faced in communicating in a variety of inhospitable environments and how science, engineering and technology have provided invaluable solutions. Demonstrations and interactive tasks helped the students understand various concepts, including the distance of Earth to the Sun.
Delivered in partnership with the RAF and the Royal Navy, the roadshow aims to inspire young people across the country, highlighting the exciting career possibilities of studying science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects.
