Year 7 Football
Well Done to the Year 7 football teams who represented William Howard School at the City 5 aside tournaments. Both teams performed well and their work rate was excellent. The girls team picked up two wins with an outstanding contribution from Dana F. The boys teams managed one win and one draw with a stand out performance from Tom B in goals. All players should be proud of their effort throughout the tournament.
Year 7 Cross Country
Our Year 7 girls and boys teams took on other Carlisle schools at Austin Friars on Friday, showing fantastic determination in some very challenging – and very muddy – conditions!
An outstanding performance from our girls’ team saw six of our runners finish in the top 20, with a special mention to Indie, who stormed home in 3rd place! Our boys team put in a solid performance, with Blake securing an impressive 8th place finish.
WHS girls team took 2nd place overall, narrowly missing out on the top spot by just four points! Our Year 7 boys team finished in 6th place.
Well done to all our runners – we are incredibly proud of your resilience, teamwork, and spirit!
