Charlie Roberts said: “I’ve felt quite chilled this morning – a lot of hard work and time went into the GCSEs, but it’s all smiles now, everything turned out for the better!”
Amy Gray and Hope O’Connor said: “We are really happy with our results and are very grateful to our teachers for helping us to achieve them. We’re now looking forward to moving up to Sixth Form.”
At William Howard School, we believe that success comes in many forms. Striving to be the best you can be is one of the most important qualities a person can develop. For one student, a Grade 4 may represent the same level of achievement and personal triumph as a Grade 9 does for another, and we celebrate all these successes equally.
It is important to remember that grades tell only part of the story. Behind every result lies a journey of resilience, determination and personal growth. For many students, the results achieved reflect not only academic ability but also an extraordinary level of commitment and effort. As a proud school community, we recognise and celebrate the courage and perseverance that have brought each young person to this moment.
These results also highlight the dedication and hard work of our staff, who have given countless hours to ensure that this year group was thoroughly prepared to demonstrate their very best. Their commitment, combined with the students’ drive, has resulted in outcomes that we could not be prouder of.
Kath Pigdon, Headteacher, commented, “We always knew this year group was exceptional, not only in their work ethic but also in the way they conducted themselves throughout their time at WHS. Their incredible results are a true reflection of the commitment and effort they have shown. As ever, this success is a team effort, and we are grateful for the dedication and expertise of our staff and the support of parents in making this such a moment of celebration.”
As this amazing year group looks ahead, we are excited to welcome many of them back into our Sixth Form, where we know, they will continue to thrive. For those moving on to other opportunities, we wish them every success in the future. Beyond the grades, this year group leaves with strength of character, resilience, and ambition, qualities that will serve them well in whatever path they choose.
Congratulations to every student – we are immensely proud of you all!
