Year 10 student Lydia Sabuda received this week’s Headteacher’s award. Lydia displays the highest level of responsibility in all her lessons. In Maths she has particularly excelled, always self-assessing her work, and of her own accord she works on areas of weakness at home. Her teacher, Mr Buttress commented, “She is the first to ask questions and seek support if needed and is quite simply a delight to teach. Lydia has made outstanding progress this year and this will continue into Year 11 due to her attitude, mathematical ability and attention to detail.” Because of this progress, like many others in top set Year 10, she will be entered for the Further Maths GCSE in Year 11.
Lydia also makes the most of every opportunity in school by participating in many extra-curricular opportunities, as a valued member of the Netball Team she recently visited Holland.
Lydia regularly displays our core values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience.
