Year 7 student Rebecca Jones received a Headteacher’s Award this week.
In History lessons, Rebecca has pushed herself out of her comfort zone, showing great resilience, and has thrived in class. Although she lacked confidence in her ability at the beginning of the year, she has achieved first prize in two of Mr Priddle’s homework competitions and was one of the top scorers in the 25 mark test. Furthermore, Rebecca has reflected carefully on feedback and live marking to significantly improve her historical skills becoming one of the best historical writers in the class.
Shown here is Rebecca’s latest winning entry – amazing work that must have taken hours! The task was to create a graphic novel page summarising the key points of the Battle of Stamford Bridge in a way that was engaging and factually accurate.
Well done Rebecca!
