Year 11 student Eve received a Headteacher’s Award this week. Eve is an exceptional student who throws herself wholeheartedly into every aspect of school life. Whether she is contributing to Team Inspire or performing in Music and Drama. Eve approaches everything with a genuine desire to make a positive impact. She is an excellent role model whose resilience and determination shine through in all she does.
Within the Music Department, Eve has been a dedicated and highly valued member of the choir for the past two years. Her commitment has been exemplary: she attends rehearsals every Friday evening and willingly took on numerous additional practices last term in preparation for the Carlisle Music and Drama Festival—where the choir achieved first place—and for recent performances in Italy. Eve brings a consistently positive attitude, always giving her very best. She contributes thoughtfully in Drama and is always willing to step outside her comfort zone.
The trip to Italy was particularly significant for Eve, marking her first experience of travelling abroad. She embraced this challenge with courage and excitement, demonstrating remarkable resilience during the long journey and growing independence throughout the week. On the final night, Eve took a huge personal step by performing her first ever solo in the talent show. Watching her confidence blossom was truly inspiring, and her performance was excellent.
Eve fully engages in Team Inspire and is a valued member of our Table Cricket Team who have been nominated for Junior Team of the Year at the Cumbria Sports Awards. She is a fantastic team player who forms strong friendships, welcomes new experiences, and approaches every opportunity with positivity and perseverance.
Eve’s dedication, resilience, and wholehearted involvement in school life make her a truly deserving recipient of the Headteacher’s Award. She exemplifies the values we hope to see in all our students and continues to inspire those around her.
