Year 11 students took part in a fantastic Post-16 Careers Morning, designed to help guide and inspire them as they begin planning their future pathways.
The event featured a vibrant “Meet the Employers” fair held in the lecture theatre, where representatives from leading organisations including Armstrong Watson, Pirelli, Lloyd Motor Group, Thomas Graham, David Allen, Cumbria Police, and the University of Cumbria who shared valuable insights into their industries.
Meanwhile, in classrooms across the school, students engaged with a wide range of professionals and training providers, including Myerscough College, Carlisle College, Gen2, System Group, the Armed Forces, WHS Sixth Form, and NHS nursing staff, who spoke passionately about their roles and career journeys.
A heartfelt thank you to all of the businesses and employers who generously gave their time to support and inspire our students. Your involvement made a real impact.
Mrs Hill, Careers Lead, remarked: “Well done to our Year 11 students for their excellent engagement and mature conduct throughout the morning. We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from our guests, who were truly impressed by your enthusiasm, curiosity, and respect.”
Year 11 Director of Learning, Ms Ledger, added: “So many students have been to see me to say how helpful and inspiring the speakers were!”
