Harraby Campus Sports Hall was the scene for the latest Panathlon event in Cumbria on Wednesday. Their multi-skills events have proved so popular over the last couple of years that two competitions had to be held, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, in order for all the schools to be able to participate. William Howard School were invited to send two teams to the afternoon session.
Our Year 7 and 8 students were very excited on the journey there and couldn’t wait to get started! They had a wonderful afternoon doing a wide range of sporting activities and they all took part with great enthusiasm, giving it their all. They competed against five other teams from Ullswater, Cockermouth and James Rennie and were ‘over the moon’ when our Year 8 team was placed first and our Year 7 team second.
