This week’s Headteacher’s Award goes to Jacob – an outstanding student in Year 9. Jacob’s exceptional work ethic is evident in every lesson he attends. He approaches his studies with determination, focus and a genuine desire to be the best he can be. His many House points demonstrate his engagement and positive attitude to learning.
Beyond the classroom, Jacob is a passionate and valued member of the Performing Arts and Music community at WHS. He regularly takes part in extra‑curricular opportunities, contributing enthusiastically and representing the school with pride and dedication, most recently as a member of the technical team for our High School Musical production.
Jacob is currently demonstrating remarkable independence and strength of character as he works tirelessly to fundraise for his forthcoming trip to represent Cumbria at the 26th World Scout Jamboree in Poland. This achievement alone speaks volumes about his motivation, resilience and personal ambition.
Consistently polite, positive and respectful, Jacob is an excellent role model within our school community. His attitude, conduct and contributions make him a very worthy winner of the Headteacher’s Award.
