This week’s Headteacher’s Award goes to Oliver in Year 11.
Oliver is a hardworking, exceptionally polite young man whose talent and commitment shine through in all he does. A gifted musician, he consistently goes above and beyond—often taking the initiative to repair drum kits and guitars whenever he notices they need attention, without ever being asked.
In recent weeks, Oliver has demonstrated outstanding dedication while preparing his drum part for High School Musical. He invested significant time and effort, even attending additional weekend rehearsals to ensure he was fully ready. His performance in the musical was exceptional, and the team made it clear that they could not have achieved the same standard without him.
Oliver is not just a student who turns up and participates; he is a student who makes William Howard School a better place.
