Year 11 student Isla is a thoroughly deserving recipient of this week’s Headteacher’s Award. Her outstanding performance as Ms Darbus in High School Musical was flawless, funny, and brilliantly delivered, capturing the character with real skill and commitment. Throughout the rehearsal process she demonstrated exceptional dedication, never missing a session and acting as a positive role model for younger students.
In addition to her success on stage, Isla represented the school alongside Mya Gilmour at the Carlisle Music and Drama Festival, performing one of her GCSE duologues from Top Girls.
Academically, Isla has made strong progress this year and consistently demonstrates maturity, drive, and resilience. She shows the utmost respect to those around her and brings a superb work ethic to everything she does. Her professionalism was also noted during her Work Experience at a local accountancy firm, where staff spoke incredibly highly of her contributions. Above all, Isla is a pleasure to have in this school and each day she is a thoughtful, hardworking, and inspiring young person who fully demonstrates our core values.
